Transsiberian,

Icon Home Entertainment presents a transcontinental dream that quickly turns into a living nightmare for an American couple travelling on one of the world’s most legendary railway journeys. Transsiberian, directed by Brad Anderson (The Machinist) is released on DVD on 2 March 2009.

Starring Woody Harrelson (No country for Old Men) and Emily Mortimer (Lars and the Real Girl), Transsiberian is the story of Roy and Jessie - a couple whose relationship is on the rocks but are trying to rejuvenate the bonds between them by going on an adventure.

On their travels they meet the mysterious couple Abby and Carlos played by Kate Mara (24, Shooter) and Eduardo Noriega (Vantage Point, The Devil’s Backbone), but not everyone amongst the travelling companions is who they first seem.

As the sexual heat reaches boiling point between the couples a dramatic turn of events throws the whole journey into disarray and exploding secrets reveal hidden truths amongst even the most innocent on this claustrophobic Trans-Siberian train journey.

With the shady law enforcer Grinko played by Ben Kingsley (Sexy Beast) and his sidekick Kolzak played by Thomas Kretschmann (Valkyrie) breathing down the train passengers necks it becomes more difficult to keep secrets under wraps.

Following in the tradition of other popular train journey films including Murder on the Orient Express, Stranger on a Train and others TRANSSIBERIAN bottles up all the suspense and paranoia you’d expect.

Drug trafficking, murder, torture, corrupt officials and complex relationships unravel on this thrilling journey through the stunning snow-covered scenery of Russia and China.
