Released to own on DVD on 09 February 2009 from Momentum Pictures, it tells the hysterical story of the dim-witted but dedicated Tae Kwon Do instructor Fred Simmons (Danny McBride – Tropic Thunder, Pineapple Express), who is the self-proclaimed master of the demo. He’s also the 1991 North American Open Sparring champion so you might be surprised that life doesn’t always run smoothly for him….
When his wife Suzie cheat’s on him, Fred’s life comes crashing down around him. To keep it together, Fred takes off on a road trip to meet his idol, martial arts movie star, Chuck ‘The Truck’ Wallace (Ben Best – Superbad) When Chuck agrees to make an appearance at the school’s next testing Fred returns inspired and at the top of his game until Suzie comes back and gets a bit too close to chuck….
With close friends Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell and Judd Apatow, Danny McBride is now the toast of Hollywood and the newest member of the comedy frat-pack.
The Foot Fist Way is one of the first features to come from Will Ferrell’s own production company. Ferrell is now renown for quoting the movies on a regular basis.
