The story begins in the depths of the Cold War as three young Mossad agents (Chastain, Worthington and Csokas) arrive in East Berlin on a covert mission to kill a Nazi doctor known for his dreadful war crimes.
Thirty years later, Rachel (Mirren), Stephen (Wiklinson) and David (Hinds) are still celebrated as heroes in their native Israel for the success of the operation. But the trio share a terrible secret.
Action-packed flashbacks and brilliant plot-twists reveal the truth as Rachel is forced out of retirement for one final mission.
A gripping screenplay from Peter Straughan (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) and Matthew Vaughan and Jane Goldman (Kick Ass), based on Assaf Bernstein's Israeli film of the same name, is dramatically brought to life by director John Madden (Shakespeare in Love).
