As ever, the brilliant, yet socially awkward scientists struggle to adapt to the world outside the lab and hilarity ensues as the boys face the trials and tribulations of dating.
A love affair with his beautiful, next-door neighbour, Penny, (Kaley Cuoco) who has long been the object of his affections, finally opens up a big, wide, wonderful world of romance for Leonard (Johnny Galecki).
While Leonard is floating on cloud nine thanks to his new found status as Penny’s boyfriend, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) is not happy about the group dynamic changing.
In a bid to restore things to normality, Sheldon attempts to put his scientific expertise to the test and build a better Penny using chocolate-based behaviour modification... with hysterical results.
Meanwhile further hilarious antics unfold as Howard (Simon Helberg) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) search for Sheldon’s perfect match online and visit a Goth nightclub to pick up women.
