Surviving Evil stars Billy Zane (Titanic, Dead Calm), Christina Cole (Casino Royale, Doctor Who) and Natalie Jackson Mendoza (The Descent).

Shot on location in South Africa the film is written and directed by Terence Daw, best known for his directing duties on some of British TVs most popular shows (The Bill, Heartbeat).

A British TV crew arrive at the remote Mayaman Island to shoot a jungle survival special. The team are led by presenter and survival-skills expert Seb (Billy Zane) along with two local guides Joey (Joel Torre) and the sexy Chill (Natalie Mendoza).

It’s not long until the crew hear errie cries from inside the jungle and see strange figures whipping through the trees. With a show to shoot, the director refuses to let the strange goings on make them quit and when Joey and Chill venture deep into the jungle to make contact with a native tribe they find the village populated by half-eaten corpses.

The crew then hear the legend of the Aswang  horrifying, mythical creatures from Filipino folklore that live in the trees, can change their shape, hunt for human flesh and crave the blood of pregnant women.

When Phoebe (Christina Cole) discovers that she is carrying a child the whole group find themselves fighting for their lives in a jungle filled with terror. Seb has survived every type of jungle threat, but can he protect the team from this supernatural evil?

Surviving Evil is released on DVD 5th October.
