Skinwalkers, the action packed, bloody and violent werewolf gore fest, is released on DVD on 13th October from Momentum Pictures.
Directed by James Isaac (Jason X) it tells the story of creatures, who’s cursed blood-lust is awakened by the moon’s rising. They are the Skinwalkers.
Two packs of werewolves, divided by the moral principles of ‘good’ and ‘evil’, are signaled by a red moon of the coming of the ancient prophecy of Navajos'.
A young half-blood boy named Timothy (Matthew Knight; The Grudge 2)) approaches his 13th birthday, unaware that this date marks a transformation as he inherits unearthly powers to end the ancient curse.
On the third night of the red moon, a bloody, vengeful war erupts between the two factions, the outcome will decide whether the curse ceases or continues.
Timothy’s mother Rachel (Rhona Mitra; Doomsday and Shooter) knows nothing of her son’s fate, kept a secret by her Skinwalker family who know his power will put him in great danger.
The ‘evil’ pack of werewolves see the curse as a gift and revel in their relentless thirst for blood. Led by Varek (Jason Behr; The Grudge and Dragon Wars), Zo (Kim Coates; Black Hawk Down) and Sonya (Natassia Malthe; 40 days and 40 nights) the ‘evil’ werewolves are hell bent on finding and killing Timothy to ensure the curse continues.
Will Timothy’s birthday see an end to the bloody reign of the Skinwalkers or will Varek and his gang catch and kill Timothy before the clock chimes midnight and he officially becomes a teenager?
Skinwalkers, a film with real bite for Halloween, is reminiscent of werewolf genre classics such as Dog Soldiers and Underworld and is a must for this blood thirsty time of year.
