Kate (Catherine Keener) and Alex (Oliver Platt) star as a couple living in New York with their daughter Abby (Sarah Steele) who decide to take over the apartment next door to ease the growing pressure on their marriage, business and family.
When their elderly neighbour Andra (Ann Morgan Guilbert) and her two loyal granddaughters, Rebecca (Rebecca Hall) and Mary (Amanda Peet), don’t see eye to eye with Kate and Alex, this quirky comedic tale of human foibles takes an unpredictable turn.
