Paper Heart

Paper Heart

Starring upcoming talent, musician and comedian Charlyne Yi (Knocked Up) and highly successful actor and comic Michael Cera (Juno, Superbad), Paper Heart is a cute, original and charming blend of documentary and traditional storytelling that will have you grinning throughout and leaving with a warm fuzzy glow.

Alternative and adorable leading lady Charlyne Yi does not believe in love.  Or so she says.  Well, at the very least, she doesn't believe in fairy-tale love or the Hollywood mythology of love, and her own experiences have turned her into another modern-day sceptic.

Questioning her beliefs and the ideals that exist within society, Charlyne and her good friend director Nick Jasenovec, embark on a quest across America to search for answers and advice, exploring the one subject Charlyne doesn't fully understand. Love.

Charlyne talks with good friends and complete strangers, scientists, bikers, romance novelists, and children who each offer diverse views on modern romance, as well as various answers to the age-old question: does true love really exist?

Then, shortly after filming begins, Charlyne meets a boy after her own heart: Michael Cera.

As their relationship develops on camera, her pursuit to discover the nature of love takes on a fresh new urgency and  Charlyne risks losing the person she finds closest to her heart.

Follow the enchanting and hilarious frank humour of this unconventional fairytale couple whose relationship blossoms on camera.

Refreshingly original and sensitive, Paper Heart is a unique perspective to the modern romance and redefines the classic love story.
