Not Going Out Series 5 DVD
Series five of Lee Mack’s multi-award-winning sitcom Not Going Out, currently broadcasting on Friday nights on BBC ONE, is available on DVD from Monday 21st May courtesy of Universal Pictures (UK).
The DVD features all six episodes, plus never-seen-before extras including Not Going Right the Out Takes - a must for all LEE MACK fans.
To date the popular sitcom has been sold to over 120 countries and broadcast across six continents, with series four drawing a record audience of 4.8 million viewers, 1.5 million above the last series average. Series 1 - 5 is also available as a DVD box set.
In this brand new series, we follow Lee as he gets himself into all sorts of scrapes and sticky situations in his eagerness to please and impress the object of his affections, Lucy. Lee turns rocker when he joins his best mate Tim’s (Tim Vine) band, cheered on by Tim's ditzy girlfriend Daisy (Katy Wix, Torchwood, Outnumbered BBC ONE), take on the role of carer for his scrounging father (Bobby Ball, Cannon & Ball, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! ITV1), injure himself training for a Fun Run, and prove his manliness by camping in a dark spooky forest.
But will a drunken experiment with Lucy (Sally Bretton, The Office BBC TWO, Green Wing CHANNEL 4) show once and for all that love really is in the air or will it just lead to more mayhem and mishaps...
Lee has established himself as one of the UK’s most recognisable and celebrated comedy stars. A busy 2011 saw Lee: bring Series 4 of his award-winning sitcom Not Going Out back to our screens earlier in the year (BBC ONE), return as resident team captain on the fifth series of Would I Lie To You? (BBC ONE) and star in the first series of his own Saturday night primetime variety show, Lee Mack's All Star Cast (BBC ONE).
In 2010, Lee toured the country with his twice extended national tour Going Out, playing to over 100 dates.
The sell-out show was later recorded for DVD live at the Hammersmith Apollo. LEE previously released his British Comedy Award nominated DVD Lee Mack Live based on his sell-out tour of the same name.
A prolific writer and performer Lee’s TV and radio credits also include: regularly guest hosting Have I Got News For You (BBC ONE); presenting his Sony Radio Award nominated The Lee Mack Show (BBC Radio 2); headlining and hosting Live at the Apollo (BBC ONE); and creating and starring in the BAFTA winning The Sketch Show (ITV1), which ran for two series in the UK before LEE went on to work alongside Kelsey Grammer in the American version of the show.
