If you’re dreaming of a p-p-p-perfect Christmas, why not p-p-p-pick up the fabulously funny family film Mr Popper’s Penguins, available on Blu-Ray Triple Play and DVD from 12 December, 2011 courtesy of Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
Pleasingly adorable and perfectly funny, Mr Popper’s Penguins stars Jim Carrey (Liar, Liar, Yes Man) as the uptight, pompous Mr. Popper, who finds himself responsible for the care of six adorable but feisty penguins after the death of his father.
As Popper attempts to prise the precious Tavern on the Green restaurant from Selma Van Gundy (Angela Lansbury - Beauty And The Beast, Nanny McPhee), his cold heart begins to be warmed by the presence of the playful penguins, making him fall in love with his family all over again and helping everyone make the right decisions for the future.
Throw in Popper’s perky assistant Pippi (Ophelia Lovibond - No Strings Attached, Nowhere Boy) who provides plenty of laughs with her fondness for alliterating P’s, his children and ex-wife (Carla Gugino - Sin City, Watchmen) and you have a wonderfully festive film for all the family.
What’s more, with a host of extras on the great value Blu-ray Triple Play version, such as the short film Nimrod And Stinky’s Antarctic Adventure, deleted scenes and a host of brilliant featurettes, there’s much more to Mr Popper’S Penguins than simply the family film of the year!
This Christmas, unlike our flightless feathered friends, Mr Popper’S Penguins will be flying off the shelves so make sure you pick up your copy on Blu-ray Triple Play or DVD from 12 December 2011.
