He has one mission in mind - to see the beach. He boards the Eurostar to Paris but Mr. Beans trip does not continue according to plan and soon descends into chaos! Confusion at the taxi stand means Bean ends up in La Defense rather than the intended Gare de Lyon. Mr. Bean tries to make things simple and decides to walk, using his map and compass he sets off in a straight line for the station stopping for nothing.
Missing his train he decides to pass the time at a station restaurant where hilarity ensues as he proceeds to eat langoustine complete with shell!
Things appear to be back on track and he stops a Russian man, Emil, to film him on the platform. Emil obliges but is left standing on the platform as the train pulls away leaving his son, Stepan, alone onboard and we see Emil shouting at his son to get out at the next stop.
At the next station Stepan hops off the train but not without snatching Beans camera first - Bean gives chase and the train departs with his bag on board.
The pair are left sitting on the station as a fast train passes. Emil is on it, and holds up a sign with a phone number on it and his destination - the phone number however is obscured by Emils finger.
Bean and Stepan board the next train south but to Beans horror he realises he has left his wallet on the platform and the ticketless two are soon ejected from the train.
The race is now on to reunite Stepan and his father Emil and to get Bean to the seaside, but with no tickets or money the challenge has been set.
In an effort to earn some money Bean turns to busking at a local market. No amount of gyrating seems to work until Puccini O Mi Babino Caro inspires him to lip sync to the music, aided by Stepan playing his child.
The audience love their performance, and soon the pair have enough money to purchase ticket s on a local bus, but at the last minute Bean's ticket flutters off with the wind.
Stepan remains on the bus whilst Bean gives chase for the ticket and finds himself in the middle of nowhere.
Hitch-hiking is his only option, but the quiet road means Bean spends a night sleeping in a haycart, before hitching a ride in Mini identical to his own.
Sabine, the owner of the mini is heading to Cannes. At a motorway cafe, they meet up with Stepan again who has been travelling with a group of buskers.
Bean, Stepan and Sabine continue south together. More problems ensue as his photograph is being broadcast on television as the suspected abductor of Stepan.
Will Bean ever be able to reunite the pair and complete his journey to the beach?
