Teenage girls went overboard for Amanda Bynes’ (Hairspray, She’s The Man, What a Girl Wants) Caribbean comedy Lovewrecked when it hit the cinemas and now they can bask in its sunkissed charms again and again. With a cast of hunky boys and Hollywood’s hottest teen queen in a tropical setting to die for, the splash hit will be available on DVD from September 17. From legendary director Randal Kleiser (Grease) Lovewrecked features a cool cast joining Bynes are The O.C.’s Chris Carmack, Mean Girls’ Jonathan Bennett and The Sopranos’ Jamie-Lynn Sigler in a hot blend of love, laughs and little white lies. Jenny (Bynes) is so madly in love with rock-god Jason Masters (Carmack) that she is blind to her best friend Ryan’s (Bennett) attentions. She cannot believe her luck when Jason winds up staying at the resort where she is working for the summer. A freak accident finds them stranded on a desert island alone together or so they think - Jenny soon discovers that far from being swept away, they were actually swept up on the resort’s hidden beach! Not wanting to miss out on some quality time with one of the world’s most fancied men, she decides to continue the charade and live as castaways until he has fallen for her.
Just when everything seems to be going swimmingly, her arch rival Alexis (Sigler) discovers her plan and decides to shipwreck herself too.
