Renewed for a second season and created by Stephen Carpenter, David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, Grimm Season One is the highest rated drama series on WATCH, with over 1 million viewers tuning in each week!
GRIMM stars David Giuntoli (Love Bites, Eli Stone, Cold Case), who plays Nick Burkhardt, a detective of the Portland Police Bureau, who sees disturbed visions, and Silas Weir Mitchell (The Mentalist, Numb3rs), who plays Monrow, Nicks friend and ‘a reformed creature’ who is the source of insight into the supernatural community.
Nick’s partner and best friend Hank Griffin (Suits, Shameless, The Good Wife), is played by Russell Hornsby, while Bitsie Tulloch (The Artist, House MD), plays Nick’s girlfriend, Juliette Silverton.
Sasha Roiz (Warehouse 13, Castle, Caprica) is Captain Sean Renard, Nick’s superior officer and a member of the creature community of unknown origin, of which Nick has no idea. Reggie Lee (Crazy, Stupid, Love, The Dark Knight Rises) plays Sergeant Wu, a policeman who works with Nick and Hank; he tends to do the "grunt work" for them, running down facts and information.
Season one begins as Nick starts to see visions of people momentarily transformed into hideous monsters, but a visit from his only living relative reveals the truth about him belonging to a family of hunters, and his destiny to keep the balance between humanity and the mythological creatures.
It's not long before his work as a policeman leads Nick to the criminals he once thought were only found in fairytales. Nick must battle against an assortment of dangerous abnormalities, with help from his friend Monroe and Russell.
Nick makes quick and accurate deductions about the motivations and pasts of individuals, which has developed his ability to perceive the supernatural that nobody else can see.
But, with the pressure of his duties as a GRIMM, does Nick decide to tell his family and girlfriend of his fated path in eliminating the evilness that lives in small town America or can he keep it to himself? Can Monroe’s deep and traumatized issues with the GRIMMs’ keep him from insanity and defeat the nemesis?
