Flesh Of The Orchid DVD

Charlotte Rampling sizzles in Patrice Chéreau’s intensely moving and breathtaking noir thriller Flesh Of The Orchid.

Rampling (StreetDance 3D, Deception) gives a magnificent performance as an emotionally disturbed young woman, Claire who is the heir to a great fortune, but is kept prisoner by her greedy aunt who wants her money.

BAFTA nominated Edwige Feuillere (Earth Light, The Pit Of Loneliness) plays the wicked aunt who has her niece consigned to an asylum in a bid to seize herinheritance.

Managing to escape from those who are attempting to harm her, Claire meets Louis (Bruno Cremer - Tumultes, Noce Blanche) who like her is running away.

Louis helps confound her schemes and also becomes her lover, but will Claire be able to make sense of her own identity?

Nominated for two Césars, Flesh Of The Orchid, is a harrowing and gripping story directed by the award-winning Patrice Chéreau (La Reine Margot, Son Frere) and will be released on DVD on 4 October 2010 courtesy of Bluebell Films.

A world of grotesque characters, bizarre incidents, brutal murders and incessant driving rain, makes this dark and erotic thriller hugely compelling.
