Coraline Jones (Dakota Fanning) is an inquisitive young girl, with a vivid imagination. Living in her new house with her stressed-out mother (Terri Hatcher) and pre-occupied father (John Hodgman), Coraline becomes bored and fed up with her new life.
Even with a new (but annoying!) friend Wybie (Robert Bailey Jr) to keep her busy, Coraline dreams of excitement and adventure far away from her ordinary life. Little does she know that what she thinks she is looking for exists just on the other side of an ordinary looking door...
Coraline discovers a spellbinding parallel world, with alternate and fantastic versions of everything and everyone Coraline knows, but with one major difference they all have peculiar, large black buttons for eyes!
