Amelie

Amélie Poulain has led a sheltered life - educated at home by her over-protective parents, she retreats into a fantasy world of her own.

When she finally leaves home and finds work as a waitress in a Parisian cafe, life is pretty uneventful until a chain of extraordinary events leads her to the discovery of a tin box containing a schoolboy's long forgotten mementos.

It is then that Amélie discovers her true vocation in life - helping others find love and happiness - which she sets about in her own unique and magical way.  When Amélie falls in love herself, she realizes that making neat solutions is not as easy as it seems...

Lost In Translation

From the director of The Virgin Suicides, Sofia Coppola, and shot entirely on location in Japan, Lost In Translation is a laugh-out-loud portrayal of loneliness and human connection, featuring superior performances from Bill Murray (Broken Flowers, The Life Aquatic) and Scarlett Johansson (Girl with a Pearl Earring, Vicky Christina Barcelona) as Bob and Charlotte - two Americans in Tokyo.

Bob is a move star in town to shoot a whiskey commercial, while Charlotte is a young wife tagging along with her workaholic photographer husband.  Through their respective insomnias, the two cross paths one night in the luxury hotel bar and strike up a surprisingly intimate friendship.

As the unlikely pair venture through Tokyo together, having often hilarious encounters with its citizens, they ultimately discover a new belief in life's possibilities.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Joel (Jim Carrey, I Love You Phillip Morris, The Truman Show) is stunned to discover that his girlfriend, Clementine (Kate Winslet, Mildred Pierce, Revolutionary Road), has had their tumultuous relationship erased from her mind.

Out of desperation he takes the same treatment, but as his memories of Clementine begin to fade, Joel suddenly realizes how much he still loves her and fights to win her back.

Requiem For A Dream

Academy Award® nominated visionary director Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, The Wrestler) followed up his acclaimed debut Pi with this gritty, emotionally charged film set amidst the abandoned beaches and faded glory of Coney Island, Brooklyn.

Based upon the novel by celebrated author Hubert Selby Jr., the story intricately links the lives of a lonely widowed mother (Academy Award® Winner Ellen Burstyn), her son Harry (Jared Leto, Fight Club), his beautiful girlfriend Marion (Jennifer Connelly, Blood Diamond) and his best friend Tyrone (Marlon Wayans, Mo’ Money).

Control

Directed by acclaimed photographer Anton Corbijn (The American) and based on Deborah Curtis's "Touching from a Distance", Control is the story of the late Joy Division singer Ian Curtis's life, from the band's rise to fame to his tragic suicide.

Starring Samantha Morton (Minority Report, Sweet and Lowdown) and Alexandra Maria Lara (Downfall, Youth Without Youth) and featuring an incredible performance from newcomer Sam Riley (On The Road, Brighton Rock) as Ian Curtis, Control documents the relationships with both his wife and girlfriend, his battle with epilepsy and the road to success with his band Joy Division.
