CSI: NY returns for another blistering season with the release of CSI: NY Episodes 3.1-3.12 on 16 July 2007 – another 12 thrilling episodes from the Big Apple. With this fantastic three disc release, Momentum Pictures serves up another slice of New York’s top-rated crime drama. As a special treat, this release features two extra episodes from the highly acclaimed CSI: Miami/CSI: NY crossover episodes CSI: Miami: 4.7 Felony Flight and CSI: NY 2.7 Manhattan Manhunt sees both teams race against the clock to stop a serial killer from claiming his next victim. The third series in the CSI Franchise, CSI: NY blends high-tech gadgetry and forensics with good old-fashioned police work to crack cases and give the victims of crime a voice of their own. First aired in the UK in 2005; CSI: NY was the highest-rated debut for the CSI Franchise on Five and is now the fourth highest-rated US drama in the UK. Season Three takes on a British flavour with the addition of new pathologist Dr. Peyton Driscoll played by Claire Forlani (Meet Joe Black).Det. Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise – Forrest Gump, Snake Eyes, The Green Mile) heads up the team, an ex-Marine whose field of expertise is explosives; Mac believes that everything is connected and everyone has a story. His partner is Stella Bonasera (Melina Kanakaredes – Providence, The Practice) a half-Greek, half-Italian – all New York – jack-of-all-trades, who is tough and independent with an unmatched desire to bring justice to victims of violent crime. The rest of the team is comprised of Danny Messer (Carmine Giovanazzo – Black Hawk Down, In Enemy Hands), personally selected by Mac to join the team; Danny has a cloudy family history and often uses his intimate history of lawbreakers to help the world of the lawmaker. Starting off as the Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Sheldon Hawkes (Hill Harper – He Got Game, City of Angels) recently traded in the autopsy slab for the field. New recruit Lindsay Monroe (Anna Belknap – Medical Investigation, Without a Trace) hails from Montana and although she is the youngest member of the group, she brings a fresh perspective to all her cases. Working closely with them is Det. Don Flack (Eddie Cahill – Friends, Lords of Dogtown) a tough, born- and-bred New Yorker from a long line of lawmen who works closely with the CSI team to make sure no one escapes the long arm of the law. This latest season glimpses into the private lives of the CSIs. Typically a closed book, Mac starts a relationship with the new coroner Dr. Peyton Driscoll. However, Peyton soon discovers that Mac may not be ready for a commitment. Meanwhile, the other team members have struggles of their own; Stella continues to heal from her near-death experience with ex-boyfriend Frankie Mala at the end of Season Two; Lindsay’s past comes back to haunt her; Hawkes suffers the consequences of a professional decision he made years ago and Flack realises that one of his fellow cops may be dirty.

And, on top of these personal dramas, the team have work to do as their paths cross everyone from a trio of Holly Golightly robbers, a serial killer and the underground cult of suicide girls to a mummified boy and a murdered marathon runner. It’s all in a day’s work for these dedicated law enforcers, meticulously following the evidence to eliminate doubt – nothing is overlooked and no one is above the law.
