Blue Powder

Blue Powder

An outstanding, award-winning ensemble cast head off on a journey which follows four people as they embark on different avenues that lead them to the same place in the gripping Powder Blue, released on DVD by Momentum Pictures on 25 January 2010.

Regularly voted one of the World’s sexiest women, Jessica Biel’s head-turning performance as a desperate exotic dancer is scene stealing in every way and has been the talk of gossip columns and internet chat forums for months due to its explicit nature.

Joining Jessica Biel (Easy Virtue, The Illusionist, Blade: Trinity), in the outstanding ensemble cast are Ray Liotta (Goodfellas, Smokin’ Aces), Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker (Last King of Scotland, Vantage Point), Kris Kristofferson (Planet of the Apes, Blade Trilogy), Lisa Kudrow (Friends, P.S. I Love You, Hotel For Dogs), Eddie Redmayne (Glorious 39, Elizabeth: Golden Age),and the late Patrick Swayze (Ghost, Point Break, Donnie Darko) in one of his last ever feature films as a seedy strip club owner.

On the gritty streets of LA, the destinies of four people desperate for connection and redemption are about to collide.

An overwhelmed erotic dancer (Biel), a grieving husband who has lost his will to live (Whitaker), a terminally ill ex-con (Liotta) and a pathologically shy mortician (Redmayne), are all teetering on the edge of despair and are praying for miracles to bring them back.

Fate and synchronicity cause these four strangers to intersect through extraordinary and serendipitous circumstances. Even in a city that shatters dreams as casually as it fulfils them, fear and courage can slip open a door to the one thing everybody in any city dreams of finding...love.

The title of the film refers to the colour of the emotions explored; loneliness and quiet desperation and ends with a stunningly beautiful Powder Blue snowfall signifying a new hope.

Directed by Timothy Linh Bui (Green Dragon) and produced by Forest Whitaker, Powder Blueon DVD includes an insightful ‘behind-the-scenes making of’ that includes interviews with the cast and crew and a trailer.
