Blind Dating is a warm and funny story about overcoming cultural boundaries, physiological differences, and above all, finding true love.
With a cast of characters that includes a virginal blind man (played by Star Trek’s latest incarnation of Captain Kirk - Chris Pine), a limo driver who lets prostitutes use his car in his downtime, a stripping therapist (Jane Seymour - Wedding Crashers, WB’s Modern Men), and a cast of weird and wonderful women queuing up to meet our hero, Blind Dating is a romantic comedy with a twist.
Blind twenty-something Danny (Pine) has plenty going for him, he's smart, witty, handsome and intelligent and he won't let his lack of sight get him down. But he's still waiting to find true love or any kind of love.
When his girl-crazy, limo-driving brother Larry (Eddie Kaye Thomas, American Pie) discovers that he’s a virgin, he’s determined to help him. He sets him up with a series of hysterically disastrous blind dates with shallow girls that can’t seem to get past his sight impairment.
About to give up on finding love, Danny encounters a pretty young East Indian nurse named Leeza (Anjali Jay). The two seem made for each other but there’s one slight problem, Leeza’s been promised to another man in an arranged marriage.
The film is written by Christopher Theo and directed by James Keach (Producer, Walk The Line) and executive produced by Jane Seymour. This hilarious film will warm your heart and prove that seeing isn't always believing when you're looking for love.
It will be released on DVD on 5 October 2009 courtesy of Universal Pictures.
