Perhaps something has come along lately to make you feel uneasy about your financial situation and now your focus has shifted to having more in reserve just in case.
Maybe you want to put something by so you don’t have to feel anxious anymore if the worst were to happen.
If you struggle to save money, the dream might be urging you to learn how to and to start- fast. Having nothing to fall back on is not a great situation to find yourself in so it’s important you have the means to create a plan if things take a negative turn.
Along the same vein, if you were saving money in your dream, perhaps it is trying to make you realise how wasteful you are with your income. If you have lived in denial around your money for some time, it may be time to face up to the reality of your spending habits. Look deeper as to why you have developed such an unhealthy relationship with shopping first to help you on your journey.

If you are a naturally frugal person, the dream may simply be reflecting this side of your personality. Consider who else was in the dream with you. Perhaps this person shares your desire to save as much of their or your joint income as possible. Or maybe this person is struggling as a result of you not spending a little more. Are your actions depriving them too?
If you are constantly thinking about your future and the money you will have upon retirement, could the dream be telling you to enjoy life a little more now? If you are denying yourself in the present for the sake of your future, could you afford yourself some leniency?
To dream of saving something that was almost lost, implies that your timing was just right in a situation in your waking hours. You should feel proud of yourself for making the move when you did- it paid off.
If you were making a saving on a purchase, it’s possible you feel you have got a good deal in some area of your life. This could be related to money or it could mean that you have received more than you bargained for such as a deeper friendship or more meaningful relationship.
On the other hand, if the saving seemed too good to be true, maybe it is and you should trust your gut and walk away.
To save a life in your dream could refer to a person you are currently looking out for. Perhaps you would do anything to save their life should the situation present itself and the dream is mirroring the love you have for them.

Do you need to get in touch with someone you’ve not seen in a while or create better lines of communication between someone close to you? Or do you need to listen to your inner needs and desires? Pay attention to your inner voice to give you greater insight. Perhaps you feel you can’t express yourself to those around you. You are trying to get your message across to people in your waking hours about your thoughts and feelings but you need an alternative method. Consider what you were writing. If it was the names of people in your life- think about the way they make you feel. Are they a positive or negative influence on you?
