Just because something isn’t attracting other people doesn’t mean it’s not the right fit for you. Don’t go by what other say and do in order to make your decisions. Each to their own.
Perhaps you have something in your life of that you aren’t proud of because it’s not shiny and new. You won’t show off about it because you assume you can’t.
Regardless of appearances, this is something to be proud of- it seems you might be worried about everyone else’s thoughts about it rather than coming to your own conclusions.
