This month (November) is National Novel Writing Month, a whole 31 days dedicated to the writing of books. Many writers attempt to complete a novel within this month as a way of challenging themselves. However, whether you’re taking part in this challenge or not, you could still be dreaming about books and novels.
Of course, a dream about a book can take place at any time, but may be more likely if you are a bookworm of sorts. Here are a few meanings that can be derived from your dreams about books.
If your dream consists of a book that is of a religious nature, it may be that you are taking care to uphold your moral standards. This particular dream can be a sign of pleasantries coming your way, as well as the possibility of honour and even wealth if you were studying the books.
This dream may infer for you to feel pride within yourself, as you appear to be good-natured and keen to protect your morals, which is very admirable.
Other dreams you may have in regard to books can involve you spending time somewhere where much studying is done; here may be where you can solve your biggest problem. To be surrounded by books can suggest you have a thirst for knowledge, so it may be important to ask yourself what it is you wish to learn about.
If you dream of children’s books, this may be a sign that you are a harmonious and caring person. You are great with children, and find joy in the simpler things. So, if you find yourself to be particularly stressed out about a certain issue, perhaps turn to a good book to soothe you.
Colours of books can also have their own meanings. For example, if the book in your dream is brown or red, this can indicate that you feel somewhat superior, and a union or celebration may be close by. Perhaps this feeling of majesty has something to do with this supposed celebration...
If you dream of a rather large book, this suggests that you need to be nurtured by someone. Perhaps you feel lonely, or in need of a friend; a large book indicates that you need another person by your side in order for you to feel less melancholic and more joyful.
If your dream sees you within a college or university, where you are potentially surrounded by books, it may be a sign that you wish to learn more and gain new knowledge through further education.
This could also be showcasing everything you have learnt so far, meaning you have learned a lot or not too much; regardless of the volume of books you see in this dream, there is always more to learn.
If, within your dream, you see a ripped book, it could suggest that you may not feel too confident in front of others; whatever the reason for this, the solution can lie in research and confidence.
Looking at what type or genre the books in your dream are can be rather helpful, too. For example, a fictional book can suggest that you need to not place too much worry on a certain topic.
Finally, if your dream involves a book that is part of a newspaper, this means that you need to take a few steps back to understand how your actions may affect others; whether you know how your actions or words are received or not, now may be the time to check in with those close to you.
