What does it mean to dream about a neighbour?

To dream about having a good neighbour- one that is kind, generous and helps you out, indicates you will enjoy your home and you will live in domestic bliss.

Dreaming about neighbours is synonymous with the relationship you have with your home. If the dream was a positive one then you will have a happy home life, whereas if it was a negative one- your life behind closed doors might suffer.

Your dreamscape could be a reflection of how happy you are in your community. Perhaps you are ready to get involved in activities within your neighbourhood. Alternatively, are you feeling overwhelmed by how much of your spare time you are investing in those who live around you as opposed to the people who live under your roof?

The dream might be giving you a nudge to make new friends with those who live on your street and join in more with events in your local area.

If your neighbours were fighting or sad, this could be a sign that you are about to move- perhaps you are in need of a change of scenery and need to meet new people. Or perhaps there is discontentment in your own life.

Seeing neighbours in your dream can also mean that you will spend much of your precious time caught up in gossip and rumours. Do you need to detach yourself from the people who have dragged you into it?

Neighbours live close to you- some closer than others, so if you were badmouthing your neighbours in your dream, it’s possible you are shooting yourself in the foot somehow in your waking hours. You’re doing something silly and lacking common sense because whatever it is, is too close to home. The repercussions won’t take long to get back to you.

More simply, it’s possible there is an issue you need to sort out with your own neighbour and its monopolising your thoughts and therefore cropping up when you close your eyes.

Does one of your neighbours need your help? Perhaps you should reach out and offer them some support.

On the flipside, are you so involved with your neighbour's affairs that it’s taking its toll on your home life? It might be time to dial things back so you can concentrate your efforts where it’s most important and let them deal with it on their own.
