It could also mean that you are working more closely with them on a project right now, so you are spending more time with them than any of your other co-workers. Perhaps this person and the thing you're working on are at the forefront of your mind.
How do you feel about your co-worker- if there is an attraction between you both- that could be why they are filtering through into your dreams. Perhaps you are fulfilling some sort of fantasy that you can’t enjoy in the office,
Co-workers are also a symbol of your ambition and competitiveness. Perhaps you are competing with your co-worker for the same position. Do you see them as a threat? Or maybe they are in a position you aspire to and you respect their way of working. You may be using them as an example of how you should conduct yourself in such a role.
If you were training someone to take over your job, you may be more future focused at present and leaving old ways behind. You are moving on but are happy to pass on your wisdom as opposed to keeping it all to yourself.
If the co-worker in your dream wasn’t your co-worker in real life- consider why you might be bringing them into this scape. Do they have a work ethic you want to adopt? Or could you benefit from their expertise in some way?
