Jamie Raven won over his wife's heart with his magic tricks.
The 'Britain's Got Talent' magician - who narrowly missed out on taking the winning title on the popular show last year to impressive dog Matisse - has admitted he used his trickster ways to woo his lover Ashley on their first date.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, the 32-year-old illusionist said: "I do magic professionally so I try to keep it separate from my home life... But with my now wife, we were out on our first date and the waiter came over with the bill I think it was for 20 pounds and I only had a 10 pound note but I turned it into a 50, but I haven't done one since!"
And, although his trick seemed to impress his wife at the time, he tried to bribe her with cash to get her to stay with him.
He said previously: "I told her that she could have a lifetime of £50 notes if she stuck with me. How cheesy. I think she laughed in my face. But that was the pick-up line that sealed the deal."
Meanwhile, Jamie - the UK's most popular magician - will take to the road for his debut solo UK Tour, 'Jamie Raven Live on Stage', a night of grand illusion, from June 16.
