Britain’s best loved home event and the Consumer Show of the year the Ideal Home Show is back, for its 104th year, running from the 16th March - 1st April at London’s Earls Court, and will be sponsored by Everest.
From 16th March to 1st April this year’s multi-award winning event will feature a variety of new features and more groundbreaking products than ever seen before.
Hosted by our fabulous celebrity Ambassadors; TV presenter and architect George Clarke, gadget expert Suzi Perry, food critic Gregg Wallace, and new for 2012 garden expert Alan Titchmarsh and interiors icon Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, who will all be on hand offering expert advice and Live demonstrations, this year’s event is set to be the biggest and best ideal Home Show to date.
Returning by popular demand, this year’s iconic Show Homes will offer visitors a unique opportunity to explore a series of full scale homes purpose built within our mock residential street, live at the show.
This year’s houses will feature three stunning full-scale model show houses, one taking inspiration from the Prince of Wales’s eco building concepts a before and after home improvement project as well as a modern, contemporary style open plan living home.
In 2011 the Prince's Foundation collaborated with the Ideal Home Show to create ‘The Prince's House’; HRH The Prince of Wales' vision for traditional eco housing. The house was the first of its kind in over 75 years since George V's Silver Jubilee which saw The King's House built at the show way back in 1935 for the first time ever.
As part of this ongoing partnership this year’s Show will introduce the Prince's Pavilions in not one but for five sections of the show.
The Prince's Pavilions will host exceptional brands whose products showcase the finest quality of British Design, making each Pavilion a must see highlight of the show. The best of each section - which satisfies the criteria and ethos of The Prince's Foundation of quality, sustainable technology and ethical production - will be chosen by them to exhibit in these premium areas.
A show favorite, the ideal Home of the Future brought to you by Virgin Media is set to re-launch with a new and more interactive format, showcasing some groundbreaking new product launches and a selection of the future innovations in domestic technology as well as more toys and gadgets than ever before.
For the second year running, the ideal Garden’s sponsored by Hydropool, will unveil a collection of six outdoor garden designs produced by a range of colleges from across the UK. The young gardeners of the year will once again compete to be crowned the best ideal Gardeners of the year. From window boxes to large open spaces, whether you are a budding gardener or seasoned pro, we will provide all you need to create your ideal garden.
After all of that entertainment the ideal Food and housewares section will provide plenty of foodie favorites from across the world to tickle your taste buds in time for lunch, as well as a selection of products that will help you become a master in the kitchen at home.
The Celebrity Chef Theatre, sponsored by Siemens, will also showcase the top culinary names in the industry preparing some delectable dishes live at the show.
If you’re specifically looking for home advice on a new DIY or home improvement project then the How to Theatre sponsored by B&Q will provide everything you need to know from a wide variety of experts throughout the 17-day event. The ideal home improvement section has the new addition of a dedicate Kitchens & Bathrooms Zone, with a variety of room sets to provide even more inspiration to those larger home projects.
ideal interiors sponsored by Dulux, will offer everything you need to dress your home and give it that personal touch with everything from sofas, kitchens and soft furnishings, to art work, paints, and even a series of eco recycled products for the home. There will also be a series of stunningly designed Ideal Home Magazine room sets that will offer you color schemes and inspiration whatever your style.
The ideal shopping area will also feature gift ideas, craft and homemade home solutions, as a treasure trove of beautiful home accessories, stunning gifts, exciting toys and innovative new technology. New for 2012 will be a dedicated area celebrating the best in British Craft, showcasing 12 small producers and designers of craft techniques including ceramics and enamelling.
Entertainment will continue in the ideal Woman sponsored by TENA area, a welcome haven for the ladies, offering the perfect place to take time out and be pampered, as you Indulge and relax at the various beauty and cocktail bars, browse the latest products and pick up hints and tips on this seasons fashion trends.
The live Catwalk will also provide plenty of entertainment with performances and fashion shows every 30 minutes throughout the day. Visitors will be treated to complimentary beauty treatments in a luxury Beauty Bar.
The Celebrity Chef Restaurant will return for another year hosted by our ideal Food ambassador Gregg Wallace, who will be providing a wide variety of British dishes to fill you up at lunch time.
