Known as Europe’s leading festival for new music, The Great Escape is often considered to be Britain’s answer to South By Southwest.

Serving up legendary shows in the bars and clubs of Brighton, showcasing totally up to the minute new talent and hosting seminars and contributions from industry-leading figures.

Countless major artists have been granted their big break there since its inception in 2006.

Those  wistful star Bat For Lashes (2006), nu-folk super heroine Laura Marling (2007), dreamy dance-poppers Friendly Fires (2008), guitar-pop craftsmen Noah And The Whale  (2009) and grime god Tinie Tempah (2010).

2012’s festival promises to be no different.

22, A Winged Victory For The Sullen, Alabama Shakes, Avalanche City and Haim are just some of the artists on board this year.
