It was announced today (Wednesday 26th September 2012), in the first week of his national tour, that AL MURRAY, THE PUB LANDLORD will extend The Only Way Is Epic, into spring 2013 by a further 54 dates. This follows hot–on-the-heels of a critically acclaimed, sell-out Edinburgh Festival Fringe and 21 autumn dates already having sold out before the tour started - seeing a new total of 105 shows, including the Queen’s Theatre in London on 4th November.
THE GUV is back with a brand new show of epic proportions, filling up Broken Britain’s empty pint glasses to audiences from the four corners of the UK including; Plymouth, Glasgow, the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight. This extension, from 19th February 2013, will see Britain’s most irrepressible innkeeper serving up his premier brew of ale-inspired acumen and bar-room buffoonery.
Tickets for The Only Way is Epic tour are available through AL’s website, thepublandlord, and are on presale today via see.tickets, on Thursday 27th via ticketmaster and general sale from Friday 28th September 2012.
What the press has said about Al Murray, The Pub Landlord in 2012:
“It’s wickedly witty stuff, and the knowledge that Murray is in fact a staunch, rather high-born Europhile with an MA in modern history makes this outwardly boorish satire on British provincialism more seductive still – right down, in fact, to the occasional guilt-ridden moment of doubt as to exactly what it is you’re laughing at.”
Mark Monahan, The Daily Telegraph
“…a bona fide British institution… his material packs a sharpness that makes you think his glass is still charged with a drop of the satirical brew that made the name of his ancestor William Makepeace Thackeray.”
Warren Howard, The Independent
“Britain’s favourite pub philosopher”
