How do you feel returning to the Big Brother House?
Terrified. I’m just as terrified as I was the first time round. I had no idea what to expect then and this is the last ever Big Brother so I have no idea what production have in store. Also the people, the housemates, have all been there before. They are hardy to the Big Brother experience. It feels like the first time again.
What made you return to the house?
I can’t justify it. I really can’t. It’s a job. That’s all I can say. Overall I have good memories of my time in the house last time and I hope this time it is not too disastrous.
Have you been watching this series?
Yes, the majority of the people in the house have been nice. Non-confrontational people. It has been a mixed bunch of intelligent characters and I have really enjoyed watching that. It’s been a really nice series?
I have also really enjoyed the trickle of real world that has come in for the tasks like visitors. The rules do say no contact with the outside world but it does emphasise how separate you are from the outside world to a greater extent.
How do you think this experience will be different this time?
I don’t know how I got through it last time. I just managed to cling on with my finger nails. I blocked and blanked the experience from my head, it could have been over ten years ago not two. I have no game plan this time. I will just be me. Apparently I came over all bossy and mumsy last time but that’s me. I am going to try not to swear though. Just for my children.
I’d love to be able to relax a bit more this time and feel like I can join in a little bit more without being on tenterhooks the whole time. I plan on having fun. No scheming or plotting but a plan to have fun.
Which of the housemates do you hope will be the house with you?
I’d love to meet Nadia. I am also hoping that Josie wins and comes in. My kids said to me when I told them I was going in “maybe you could be Josie’s best friend”. I love that she called Anthea Andrea! Because I love accents with my comedic side I have spent the last few weeks just speaking with a West Country accent.
Is there anyone you would not want to be in the house with?
I guess extreme personalities would be hard work. Someone like John McCririck would be tough work but I am open minded and open to persuasion. I don’t want to make my mind up before hand. I hope the others are open minded and interesting. I wouldn’t mind meeting up with some of the others I was in with last time. Whether that’s Terry or Coolio. Not knowing who is going in is part of the struggle.
Who is the Ultimate Big Brother Housemate?
Probably the first winner, Craig. But people have come to expect a lot more entertainment from housemates. Dave from BB10 was an amazing character he had such personality.
Ultimately though, no one comes close to Josie. She’s self deprecating, she’s funny, she’s beautiful, she’s sensible, she’s intelligent. That f****** thumb sucking though has got to stop though! I’ll tell her off. She’s the real deal.
What did you think of Josie and John James?
She can do better than John James but at the end of the day she’s got to find this out for herself. He is going to be overwhelmed by the success of her. She would be the best thing that could ever happen to him that’s for sure because she’s the only one who can calm him and get through to him.
I am dying to get in there and talk to her about it if she wins. I’ m going to have to play it carefully though as she may hate me for saying some of the things I want to say. Since he (John James) left, Mario made a really good point by saying that she has blossomed again. John James did have that slightly detrimental effect on her. She is a free spirit and he can’t control her and that’s what unnerves him so much.
I think he’s a virgin. I don’t think he’s ever had sex, or he’s terrified by her size. He has major issues with women. His mother has obviously spoiled him to bits and he’s got away with murder.
