It’s been 10 years since you were in the Big Brother house, how do you feel about going back in?
I think it’s good to be part of its final send off. I thought as part of the record breaking series one if I wasn’t part of it I would regret not doing it.
How different do you think it’s going to be?
Our house in BB1 was like a young offenders institute, we had dormitories for women and for men and it wasn’t very luxurious. I think this house is 5 star compared to what our 1 star was.
There will be a lot more to do, the tasks this series have been the best tasks to date I think, it’s part and parcel of it and you can always say no if you don’t want to.
Are you looking to gain anything from the experience?
I’m just looking forward to taking part in it. It’s not really up to me to change the public’s perception of me. I’ll just be myself. A lot of the viewers that watched it when I was in it are now a lot older and a lot of the viewers now will have been children when our series was on, so it’ll be a whole new eclectic audience that we didn’t have before.
Do you think it’s tougher now that it used to be?
No ours was much tougher. We had to make our own bread, feed the chickens. Our house was much starker, hot water only for 20 minutes a day, fighting for alcohol and cigarettes. It’s much cushier now in comparison.
Your rule break at the time was headline news, do you anticipate that you might be a mischief maker this time as well?
If I get bored I might be in the mood for mischief if I’m not then I’ll just sit there and enjoy it.
What do you think of this final series?
I think it’s been brilliant. It’s been one of the best cast series, I think Big Brother picked some nice normal decent people who aren’t show offs or big heads or people who want to be film stars. They’ve been good contestants.
Who would you dread to be in the house with you?
This is the best time to lie in case you put them in! Dread? I think it’d have to be someone like Narinda, only because she’s over opinionated. There are certain people that whatever they do they rock the boat the wrong way.
Who of the BB11 finalists do you want to win?
I think Josie is going to win. She would enjoy it and I think she might be a little overawed by it; winning it and then suddenly all these people who you’ve seen on the show before coming in.
And who else would you like in there with you?
Well I think Brian Dowling is going to go in, probably Brian Belo, Makosi or someone of that ilk. I don’t mind, anyone that goes in I’ll enjoy their company. Whoever it is I think we’ll all have fun.
Do you have a strategy to keep yourself in as long as possible?
I think the first eviction will be pretty harsh. If you’re the first out it’s embarrassing but people remember it. I think I’m just going to try and enjoy it, if I make the first week I’ll be happy if I make the second week I’ll be ecstatic.
Who is your Ultimate Big Brother housemate?
It’s such a unilateral question as there’s such a lot of people. I don’t know, I’ve never given it much thought but that’s the point of this series so we’ll soon see!
