Do you dedicate any time to watching your own show?
AMERICA FERRERA: Definitely. I watch every episode of the show to know what I’m doing and how I’m acting. I really enjoy the show and I feel like I would be excited to watch it even if I wasn’t part of it. I have so much fun working on Ugly Betty and we have an incredible cast that I love working with. Sometimes I forget that it is even out there for other people to see. I just get a little DVD every week on set and watch it myself.

When you watch your preview DVD, do you still have time to try to re-shoot a scene that you are not comfortable with?
AMERICA FERRERA: Oh, no. It’s too late by the time I get the DVD. It’s just a little disc so that we can see the show before it airs. It’s funny. When I sit down to watch it, it feels like we’re making this TV show for ourselves until someone reminds me, “Oh, yeah… Millions of people are watching it every week.” That’s pretty amazing. I couldn’t be happier.
