Zayn Malik's new track 'It's You' blasts Perrie Edwards' "lies".
The 23-year-old former One Direction crooner's second solo offering appears to hit out at the Little Mix star - who he reportedly dumped via text in August after four years of dating - as it describes the messy breakdown of a relationship but lays the blame firmly at the girl's door.
The lyrics go: "Her own reason...for talking to me. She don't, she don't, she don't...give a f**k about what I need, and I can't tell you why, because my brain can't equate it.
"Tell me your lies because I just can't face it"
The scathing lines go on to insist that "silence" shouldn't be "mistaken" for being in the wrong.
Zayn continues: "I won't, I won't, I won't! Cover the scar, I'll let it be, So my silence, So my silence won't be mistaken for believing, am I wrong for wanting us to make it?
"Could it be that it's a lesson? That I never had to learn I looked at it like a blessing, And now it's just a curse, I don't know why, I don't know why, You, it's you."
The heartthrob - who is currently dating model Gigi Hadid - debuted the second single from his forthcoming album 'Mind of Mine' on 'The Tonight Show' on Wednesday (02.17.16) and told host Jimmy Fallon that writing the track was a "form of therapy".
He shared: "I just felt like I needed to put myself out there on that just because it was a form of therapy for me and it did help get me through some s**t."
Zayn debuted single 'Pillowtalk' in January and the steamy video features his 20-year-old girlfriend.
