The 'Baywatch' star was trying to copy Sisqo's locks but instead ended up looking like a "little old man".
Asked what his biggest beauty regret is, he said: "Do you remember the music video for 'Thong Song' by Sisqo, where he had his hair dyed silver? Back in middle school, when bleaching your hair was cool and Sublime was all the rage, I went to my mom and I was like, 'I want my hair to be silver, too!' So we bleached it, cut it short, and they put silver in it, but it ended up looking grey. I looked like a little old man. Because I didn't have glowing backlights and dancing hot chicks around, all I had was grey hair."
And it isn't only hair dye that Zac has had a mix up with as he also admitted he once put too much cologne on and had to shower in the middle of a school day to get rid of the smell.
He added to Refinery29: "The first time I ever discovered cologne was with my mom at the mall. There were free samples, so I was stocking up.
"Basically, I put on way too many of them one day and went to school. I think they sent me out of class and made me take a shower because I smelled so bad. I got made fun of for a while."
Meanwhile, the Hollywood hunk previously confessed he has "mad respect" for women after he slipped into high heels for a scene in 'Baywatch'.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote: "Mad respect to all the ladies who can handle heels. 1 of my hardest stunts EVER on #Baywatch (sic)"
Before later adding: "[It was] so fun, it was great. I can't wait to do it again. Honestly, it was one of my favourite days of filming."
