The 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star made the drastic decision to undergo major surgery to have her bouncy prosthesis removed after doctors discovered loose silicone was floating around her body following a nasty rupture.

The blonde beauty, who recorded the whole seven-hour procedure for the reality TV show, said: "Ten years ago I fell and ruptured my implant, so I had that replaced - and now 10 years later they found free-floating silicone, so I'm going to have everything removed, the implants and all the free-floating silicone in my chest area."

Yolanda also thought having the implants removed would improve her symptoms of Lyme Disease, a lifelong bacterial infection spread to humans by infected ticks, which she has battled since 2012.

Speaking on season six of the programme ahead of the surgery, she said: "Hopefully this is the answer. It's not going to cure my Lyme Disease, but it's going to change my immune system. It's going to give my body hopefully the opportunity to cure 80, 90 per cent of it and I can go back to living some sort of a normal life."

The whole procedure was played out on the Bravo broadcast as the doctors in Cleveland cut open her chest and pulled out the blood-splatted implant.

Once out of surgery, Yolanda was greeted by her then-husband David - who she split from late last year - as he assured her she was over the worst.

He said: "Hey baby, it's done, it's over. It's finished, it's all great. All that stuff is out."
