Wyatt Russell has become a father for the first time.

The 34-year-old actor – who is the son of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn – and his wife Meredith Hagner have welcomed their first child together, as Meredith took to Instagram to confirm she has given birth to a baby boy named Buddy Prine Russell.
The ‘Search Party’ actress shared the news alongside pictures of a feature the couple did for Vogue’s April 2021 issue when she was still pregnant, as she revealed their son was born just two weeks after the snaps were taken.
She wrote: “VOGUE, BABY! And right after these photos we HAD A BABY, BABY!April issue of @voguemagazine in our van, Carnella, which we lived in for a big chunk of my pregnancy.2 weeks after these photos were taken we welcomed the heavenly Buddy Prine Russell into the world! It’s been nothing short of magic. [photos by] @tierneygearon (sic)”
In the Vogue piece, 33-year-old Meredith explained she was excited to bring her then-unborn child on road trips with Wyatt in their van.
She said: "I mean, as soon as we can get our new van constructed, we're going to be on the road with him. That'll be a whole new set of adventures.”
Meredith’s pregnancy was made public when Wyatt’s half-sister, actress Kate Hudson, posted on Instagram to express her joy at becoming an auntie.
Kate – whose mother, Goldie Hawn, had her during her marriage to Bill Hudson – wrote in November: "Celebrating our next family member today. First for my bro Wy and @merediththeweasel We are over the moon and can’t wait!!!! (sic)"
The 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' actress shared a picture of herself planting a kiss on Meredith's baby bump.
In the background of the photo were balloons spelling out "Baby".
