WWE star Sid Eudy has died at the age of 63

The wrestling legend - who is survived by his wife Sabrina Paige and their children Frank and Gunner - was better known to WWE fans as Sycho Sid and was a six-time world champion but passed away on Monday (26.08.24) following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Gunner told TMZ: "He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we grieve this loss."

The wrestling star - who also went by the names Sid Vicious and Sid Justice - was known for playing against fellow legends like Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, the Undertaker and Sting in the ring and had headlined multiple pay-per-views at the height of his career in the late 1990s.

Sid sustained an injury in 2001 that forced him to mostly retire from the ring , but he managed to play sporadically over the years and during his his final match in 2017, he defeated fellow sports star Paul Rosenburg.

In what became one of his final interviews, Sid looked back on his life and career and described himself as the "hardest" worker he had ever met.

Speaking on the 'Prime Time With Sean Mooney' podcast, he said: "This is the deal. I don’t have to pat myself on the back to you or anybody. I’m the hardest worker that I’ve ever met in my life, and anybody that’s ever traveled with me like Bob Holly, Billy Gunn, or any of these guys that worked out with me or traveled the road, no one ever worked harder than me.

"I was through with my first workout and back to my second breakfast when everybody else was just getting up, and I was going to my second workout, and that’s how I was as a kid too. I thrived to be the best, and I did everything it took to do that.

"It’s in my genes. My father was an overachiever. He was a pilot; he’s the one who taught me to fly. I think everyone in my family was overachievers. That just runs in my family.”
