Will Ferrell has been hospitalised after he was involved in a two-car accident which saw his SUV flip over.
The 50-year-old actor was taken to hospital on Thursday (12.04.18) after an SUV he was riding in was flipped during a two-car collision, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to reports, the incident occurred on the I-5 freeway in Orange County, California, at about 10:50pm on Thursday.
The 'Step Brothers' star was in a chauffeur-driven Lincoln Navigator on his way back from a 'Funny or Die' comedy event in San Diego when the vehicle was rear-ended by a Toyota Highlander, according to an officer with the Capistrano Police Department.
Will's manager told Deadline that the star has since been released from hospital and is "doing well" following the crash.
The publication also claims that Will's manager stated the incident took place when the driver of the Toyota "fell asleep at the wheel".
The 'Old School' star was taken to hospital alongside three other people who were also in the actor's car. According to Deadline, one female passenger is believed to have sustained "major injuries", whilst the other two suffered minor injuries.
It has been alleged by California Highway Patrol Sergeant Richard Peacock that the driver of the other vehicle was not hurt, and was not detained or ticketed.
One officer told The Wrap that drugs or alcohol are not believed to have played a part in the crash, and police are still investigating the incident.
