Whitney Port is hopeful Brody and Bruce Jenner can mend their relationship.

The fashion designer's former 'Hills' co-star Brody recently revealed he and his dad, 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star Bruce, don't have a close bond but Whitney believes it is not too late for them to fix it.

She told HollywoodLife: "It's definitely something you shouldn't take for granted. There's still hope, it's never too late to develop a relationship. Brody and Bruce are both still so young and have so much time and experiences ahead of them. They're constantly learning and I feel like it's not too late for them to mend the relationship."

While Brody recently joined his father's reality TV show, the blonde beauty, who has her own fashion line, Whitney Eve, has insisted she appreciates her private life more since the end of 'The Hills'.

She said: "You get to hold things sacred and things can be like private and intimate. You don't have to worry how anyone else is going to perceive it.

"Obviously it was so much fun, I don't regret it and it gave me the platform to launch what I'm doing now, but I'm really enjoying life without that kind of baggage."

Whitney, 28, sadly lost her own father, Jeffrey Port, in March, following a battle with kidney cancer and admitted that her grief is often overwhelming.

She said: "I feel it comes in waves. I worked with my father so I feel like I'm trying to work even harder to do what he would want me to do and to motivate myself and live up to what our goals were.

"Obviously times are hard, but I'm the kind of person who is going to rise above it."
