David Beckham was worried his daughter would kick Anna Wintour.
The retired soccer superstar was concerned his youngest child, two-year-old Harper, would accidentally hit the editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine when they were seated next each other in the front row of his wife Victoria's fashion show at New York Fashion Week.
He told E! News: "It was the first show that she sat out there and I was sitting next to Anna [Wintour], of course.
"I was trying to keep Harper from ... because she was standing up and she was sitting down, she was saying, 'I like the pink dress. I like the white dress.' Her legs were moving around and I thought, 'I don't want her to kick Anna.' "
Although the 63-year-old editor - who has two children Charles and Katherine from her marriage to David Shaffer - is known for her stern personality, she smiled at Harper and was very "sweet" to the Beckhams' daughter.
David revealed: "Anna was so unbelievably sweet to her. She was so sweet to her. You know, she's got children so she's used to that."
The former Los Angeles Galaxy player's sons - Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 10, Cruz, eight - were unable to watch their mother debut her new collection but David admitted they each have their own style too.
He added: ""They have help from us but we want them to have their own individual style, so we kind of let them - to a certain extent - pick what they wanna wear. If they look a little outrageous, we let it go a bit."
