Vernon Kay and Tess Daly have reportedly embarked on a holiday that could make or break their marriage.

The celebrity couple, who have been married since 2003, are said to have taken their two children away with them to the Caribbean following the texting scandal involving Vernon and glamour model Rhian Sugden.

A source said: "The last few weeks have been a nightmare for Tess and Vern and they just want to get away from it all.

"They're hoping a break with the girls thousands of miles away from Britain will give them time to work through their problems."

In spite of their recent woes, Tess is said to remain in good spirits and is eager to escape the controversy surrounding her husband, who has been accused of sharing flirtatious messages with Rhian.

The insider told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Tess has been on good form despite it all, putting a brave face on everything and is keen to get away from all the attention so she can focus on her family and try to relax."

The couple have two daughters together, aged 15 and six years old.
