The former 'Emmerdale' actress has revealed she and her husband Dominic Shaw, who got married in 2013, are expecting their first baby together and are set to welcome the unborn tot this summer.
Taking to her Twitter account this morning (07.03.16), the brunette beauty announced her news, tweeting: "Yey!@dominicmshaw and I are expecting our first baby this summer! So excited!! (sic)."
But the 30-year-old star's baby news will no doubt come as a surprise to fans as she was meant to be starring in and touring the UK with the energetic forthcoming musical of 'Breakfast At Tiffany's' from the beginning of May this year until June.
Verity was cast as Holly Golightly - also portrayed by Pixie Lott - in the singing and dancing show but has reportedly been forced to step down after discovering she's expecting.
And, although she's thrilled about her baby news, Verity is no doubt devastated she won't get to portray Holly in the shpow as she was looking forward to stepping into the icon's shoes.
She said last year: "I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to play the dream role of Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's. I cannot wait to step into the fabulous shoes of such an icon."
