Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott slept in separate beds for three years before they ended their marriage.
The 50-year-old actress recently filed for divorce, nine months after the 'Due South' actor first revealed they were no longer together, and she's admitted there were divisions in their 18-year relationship long before then.
Although Tori acknowledged she and Dean - who are parents to Liam, 17, Stella, 15, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and seven-year-old Beau - had slept in "different bedrooms" for three years by "his choice", she dismissed the 58-year-old actor's previous claim it was due to her insisting on sharing their bed with their animals.
Speaking on her 'misSPELLING' podcast, she said: "Like, he gave an interview saying he stopped sleeping in the bed because of a pig. That is not true."
Explaining the animal had slept with them for one day when it was a baby and they had been told it needed to be cuddled, she added: "I was just following orders that it was used to snuggling and it needed that for a few nights.
"But then when it peed between us in the bed, he was like, 'The pig's leaving the bed.' And I was like, 'Understood.' And that was it. That was the only night the pig was in the bed."
The 'Beverly Hills 90210' star stressed "animals and kids didn't come between us on the bed" but claimed Dean wanted separate rooms because of her tendency to fall asleep with the television on.
She said: "I think I had the TV on for distraction, like, to distract from my life. Like, I would just zone out and be entertained, which is what my dad said that's what he always wanted to do.
"Like, people have hard days, hard work, hard lives, hard relationships, and it's all individual. And when they get home, they just kinda wanna zone out and be entertained and taken out of their world, escapism.
"So that's what I was just creating for myself. Because guess what? It's funny. He's no longer in my bed. No longer in the marriage."
In November, Dean admitted he and Tori had "been having problems" for some time and they had got worse "because we stopped sleeping in the same room", which he claimed was due to a pig and multiple dogs sharing their bedroom.
He told the Daily Mail newspaper: "We know dogs have accidents, and our particular dogs were having a lot. And I just couldn't deal with that anymore.
"So, I created a healthy boundary for myself and I said, 'I can't do this. I can't live and sleep in this kind of condition.' I drew that boundary for myself and moved to another room and things just progressed from there.
"There were no efforts to sort of remedy the problem to get back into the room."
