Tom Parker, star of the music group The Wanted, has died at the age of 33.
Following a lengthy battle with terminal brain cancer, glioblastoma, the singer passed away on Wednesday March 30th, 2022, his wife Kelsey confirmed.
Speaking with The Sun, she said: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side.
"Our hearts are broken.
"Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.
"We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.
"Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end. I’m forever proud of you."
Parker had first been diagnosed with the inoperable brain tumour, during his wife's pregnancy with their second child.
Though he looked to be doing well, recent months saw the singer confined to a wheelchair as he grew weaker.
He had previously joined the band on stage during their reunion tour, but had to miss out on some of the live shows because of his deteriorating condition.
Whilst back in the UK however, Tom did receive standing ovations from fans at some live gigs, when he appeared on stage, sitting on a throne, alongside bandmates Max George, Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuinness and Siva Kaneswaran.
All of the band came together in support of Parker when his prognosis was revealed.
The singer leaves behind his wife Kelsey and their two young children.
