Tom Hardy hates being followed.
The 36-year-old actor insists that being an actor shouldn't have to mean being famous.
He told USA today: "I hate being tracked or followed. I don't like it when people say, 'Well, you should have expected that when you accepted the job as an actor'.
"When you go to drama school, no one gives you a class on fame ... Just treat people how you wish to be treated."
Tom - who is rumoured to have married actress Charlotte Riley - has also revealed that if any rumours were to be confirmed, it wouldn't be through him.
He said: "Whether I'm married or not married, people will find out. But it's also not something I'm going to offer."
Meanwhile, the 'This Means War' star - who is known for his roles in more serious films - has admitted he won't make a permanent switch to starring in romantic comedies.
When asked about filming for the 2012 film starring Reese Witherspoon, he said: "I didn't understand how you could do something which is so much fun and be so miserable doing it.
"I probably won't do a romantic comedy again."
