Tom Hanks has put his Los Angeles home on sale for over £3.3 million.
The 'Saving Private Ryan' star - who no longer lives in the luxury property located in the posh Pacific Palisades area - is keen to find a new buyer for the mansion which he brought with wife Rita Wilson in 1988, shortly after he was nominated for an Oscar for his role in 'Big.'
The couple - who married in 1988 and have two sons together - have since upgraded by splashing out on another property for £16.5 million which is where they currently live.
They also own two other homes in California as well as a plush Manhattan pad on Fifth Avenue which overlooks Central Park.
The home is described by Real-estate website Zillow.com as a "legendary" Spanish-style villa built in 1928 and it boasts a private beauty salon as well as a terrace with views of the ocean.
The 56-year-old actor is set to have a busy year after signing up to appear in a number of high profile movies including 'Saving Mr.Banks' - a film about the production of 'Mary Poppins' - and 'Captain Phillips' which tells the story of the 2009 Somali pirate kidnapping.
