Tom Green says his marriage to Drew Barrymore was a "crazy whirlwind"

The MTV presenter tied the knot with the 'Charlie's Angels' star in 2001 but they separated just five months later and the 42-year-old host admits he still doesn't feel "comfortable" talking about their union.

Speaking on 'Oprah: Where Are They Now?', he said: "It was just a very short period of time that I had a brief marriage.

"I don't really tend to talk about it that much comfortably [or] publicly. All of that was part of that sort of crazy, whirlwind of a time."

Tom no longer keeps in touch with Drew - who has daughters Olive, 22 months, and Frankie, three months, with husband Will Kopelman - but is pleased she has found happiness.

He added: "I haven't talked to her in many, many years. I'm glad she's doing great. I'm really happy that she's doing good."

The 'Road Trip' star spoke of his regret that his marriage to the 39-year-old beauty had come to an end when he filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences", in December 2001.

He said at the time: "Drew is a wonderful woman. I love her very much. I wish our marriage could have worked out. I wish her much happiness."
