Tom Fletcher's son helped him beat depression.
The McBusted singer, who was diagnosed with the illness five years ago and even sought treatment in rehab, believes 20-month-old Buzz, whom he has with his wife Giovanna Falcone, encouraged him to stamp out his demons.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the handsome star said: "I was taking medication, but I don't any more. Having a kid has really helped me in my life. It gives you a sense of needing to be stable. It's not about you any more, it's about this child that you've decided to bring into the world."
He added: "You don't have any choice but to cope with life because you're doing it for someone else. I was very ready for that before Buzz was born."
The 30-year-old star, who also suffers with bipolar affective disorder and had an eating disorder, previously revealed there were times when he considered taking his own life.
He said two years ago: "There have been a few moments when I have thought, I don't think that I can do this any more. But you always see sense just at the right time, or just when you think you've had enough, something happens and there's some sort of light at the end of the tunnel."
Meanwhile, Tom currently has his hands full with his busy career and caring for little Buzz, and things are set to get even more hectic in the coming months as he is expecting his second child with his wife Giovanna next February.
