Tom Cruise Wanted to See Fireworks

Tom Cruise had his private jet fly to Nashville to watch a firework display at the weekend.

The 53-year-old actor has been filming 'Mena' in Atlanta but didn't want to miss out on Fourth of July celebrations so he and a small group of pals headed for Acme & Seed in Tennessee to mark the holiday.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: "He had a great time. He was very kind and polite and accommodating to anybody that wanted to have a photo with him.

"He heard that Acme had the best fireworks in the USA and flew in his private jet to come see it."

And the 'Mission: Impossible' star, who paid a $200 cover charge for the evening, was also seen dancing to country music, drinking champagne and heading for a taco stand as he chatted happily to fellow revellers.

Tom isn't the only star to have enjoyed celebrations over the holiday weekend.

George Clooney and his wife Amal were joined at their Lake Como estate by Julia Roberts and her family, where they also got to watch a firework display.

Taylor Swift held a star-studded bash at her home in Rhode Island, where her guests included boyfriend Calvin Harris, singer Ed Sheeran, Gigi Hadid and her rumoured boyfriend Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Haim, 'Empire' star Serayah, and Victoria's Secret beauty Martha Hunt.

And Beyonce celebrated at Essence Festival in New Orleans with husband Jay Z, sister Solange Knowles, Missy Elliott and former Destiny's Child bandmate Kelly Rowland.
