Tina Turner had 70,000 red and white roses imported for her wedding party on Sunday (21.07.13).
The 'Simply the Best' hitmaker wed German music executive Erwin Bach - her boyfriend of 26 years - last week in an intimate civil ceremony, and the couple followed the small affair with a lavish reception for guests including Oprah Winfrey at their home in Kuesnacht near Zurich, Switzerland, over the weekend.
According to the Sonntagsblitz newspaper, the newlyweds had 70,000 roses flown in from the Netherlands for the party, which saw 120 guests bless Tina, 57, and Erwin in a Buddhist ceremony.
Per the traditions of the religion, there was a strict white dress code for female guests and all of the attendees were required to pour water over the newlyweds' hands.
Singer Bryan Adams provided the entertainment for the evening, singing 'All for Love' for the devoted couple, and German rock star Herbert Groenemeyer gave a heartfelt speech about Tina and Erwin's romance.
US TV icon Oprah, 59, reportedly said prior to the ceremony: "This is going to be memorable party."
Tina began dating Erwin in 1987 while he was working as a record executive at EMI record label.
The singer was previously wed to Ike Turner, but split from him in 1976 due to his abusive behaviour.
Tina has been living with Erwin in Zurich since 1995 and filed for Swiss citizenship earlier this year.
