Thandie Newton's son was born on her bathroom floor.
The British actress and husband Ol Parker welcomed baby Booker Jombe in March but she didn't want him to be born at a hospital so arranged for a midwife to be at her home instead.
She told US TV's 'Today' show: "He was born on the bathroom floor.
"I had just associated hospital with being ill, and I felt beautiful and healthy and wonderful when I was pregnant, and being at home is the place I felt most relaxed and comfortable."
The 41-year-old actress also had daughters Ripley, 13, and Nico, nine, at home, and feels it to be perfectly natural.
She added: "For me, it feels normal. There was a time when everybody had their babies at home and it wasn't such a big deal."
The 'Crash' actress announced her pregnancy in September and later admitted she was finding it tough working on action-packed police drama 'Rogue', in which she plays undercover cop Grace Travis.
She said: "Basically, I had two options; to withdraw from the show which would have meant the show collapsing, or to commit regardless.
"I'd seem actresses takes on meaty un-pregnant roles while carrying babies - Jodie Foster in 'Panic Room'. My agent also reassured me that both Claire Danes and Anna Paquin worked well into their first pregnancies. So - it was all going to work out just fine wasn't it?
"We're on episode nine, and are near enough to finishing for me to be able to chuckle at my naivety in thinking this was going to be anything other than mayhem, with a waddling lead actress at the centre.'"
